Chat Blazer Gold Evaluation

Software Package

After installing the Chat Blazer software files using our installer, the set of Chat Blazer files are located in the installation directory specified during the installation process.

Files   Description
cb_ban1.jpg, stanban.jpg, stanban2.jpg Set of banners which comes with the package.
 
closedr.au, hi.au, laugh.au, noway.au, opendr.au, throat.au, urh.au, yahoo.au Default sound set.
 
aah.au, drumroll.au, ohboy.au, ohoh.au, yell.au Additional sound files. These files are not used in the initial settings. You can import these sound files into your client module. Do note that more sound files mean a longer loading time for the applet.
change.gif. clear.gif, connect.gif, float.gif, help.gif, logout.gif, pref.gif, private.gif, user.gif, user_ignore.gif, users.gif, s0.gif to s9.gif Program's graphics set.
adminhelp.htm, admin_cut.jpg, passwd.jpg, roommgr.jpg, prof.jpg Help package for the administrator module. These files must be in the same directory as the administrator applet file or else the help cannot not be displayed.
cbclient.htm HTML file containing the Chat Blazer chat client applet parameters. Use your web browser and open this file to start the Chat Blazer client.
 
cbadmin.htm HTML file containing the Chat Blazer administrator applet parameters. This contents of this file is essentially the same as that of the client's file, except that it specifies a different JAR file and the settings are configured in such a way to reduce loading time. Use your web browser and open this file to start the Chat Blazer administrator client.
 
chat.ini INI configuration file for your Chat Blazer Gold server.
 
adminpwd Default ASCII text file containing the administrator's password. This can be changed as specified in the chat.ini file. The initial password set herein is "password".
 
readme.txt General information ASCII text file.
 
rooms.txt ASCII text file containing the list of rooms to be created when the chat server starts.
 
profanity.txt ASCII text file containing the list of profanity words to be filtered.
 
reserved.txt ASCII text file containing the list of reserved login names which normal users cannot use.
 

Program Files

There are basically three set of files. Files that are needed to run the Chat Blazer Gold server, Chat Blazer Gold chat client and the Chat Blazer Gold administrator. The list of files under each of the various Chat Blazer Gold modules are described below:

For the Chat Blazer Gold chat client and administrator, all of the .class files are packed into the JAR archive. This is a special type of archive which can be read by browsers when running Java™ applets. Please do not unzip the JAR files unless you know what you are doing or are instructed by our Helpdesk personnel. Chat Blazer Gold chat client and the administrator are able to run off the JAR files without the need to unzip the JAR files.
